Libcamera issues on fresh install

  • Architecture | armhf

  • SBC model | RPi B (armv6l)

  • Power supply used | USB 3.0 port

  • SD card used | SanDisk Transcend 8GB

  • Camera | Arducam OV5647

Additional Information (if applicable)

  • Software title | libcamera-apps
  • Was the software title installed freshly or updated/migrated? | fresh
  • Can this issue be replicated on a fresh installation of DietPi?

Steps to reproduce

  • Installed a fresh version of dietpi
  • installed libcamera-apps

Expected behaviour

  • im not sure ive never used it before?

Actual behaviour

  • Recieving: message below
# libcamera-hello
ERROR: libcamera-apps currently only supports the Raspberry Pi platforms.
Contributions for other platforms are welcome at https://github.com/raspberrypi/libcamera-apps

I know im missing something obvious so thank you in advance.

What camera module do you use?

I am using an Arducam OV5647

They provide their own installation script for this cam and also you need to enable some overlays:

That seemed to fix it.
which is weird since I had previously used the same set of commands here libcamera and libcamera-apps - Arducam Wiki
Maybe it just needed a reinstall?
