JDownloader 2 Headless

Hello! I’ve tried using aria2, but honestly, JDownloader seems to offer much more and is ultimately more practical. I manually installed it following this guide: “GitHub - fabwu/jdownloader-install: 🌍 Install JDownloader on Ubuntu Server 16.04”, but I installed openjdk-17-jre-headless instead of openjdk-8-jre-headless.

It worked correctly; however, this installation method uses myjdownloader to access the GUI, and I’ve seen that casaOS has a Docker-based installation method that installs it locally without depending on the external myjdownloader server.

I just wanted to share my experience in case it helps someone, and I was wondering if there was any plan to make JDownloader installable from dietpi-software, that would be great!

Cheers

There is also another option that has all the requirements built in

Seems quite simple install procedure, however this is an irritating instruction, which makes it not that easy to install.

Execute this command several times until you get asked for your My JDownloader login credentials on the console.
