ISO files Proxmox

I’m getting curious now, why do you guys favour IMG files over ISO?
I know ISO is a CDROM format (9660) IIRC a red book standard. The RPi doesn’t have a cdrom so no surprise there.

But now I’m playing with Proxmox, working with ISO files

There’s an interesting conversion tool in proxmox, so creating an ISO from IMG is possible, but of course, a native ISO would be far easier.

We offer ready to use Proxmox disk, which could be attached to a Proxmox VM directly.

I’ve just seen it. DOH! I was looking at RPi or native PC… not at the VM versions.
