i want to stay with bullseye because the kernel 6.1.21 no good for my usb dongle rtl8188eu , i need kernel 5.10
how to do it ?
thank
We don’t trigger an update automatically from Bullseye to Bookworm
Updates are not done automatically. It requires user activity to run apt
package manager or dietpi-update
you can, but it is not a solution. Sooner are later Bullseye will not receive updates anymore.
This kernel is not directly related to Debian Bullseye or Bookworm. Kernel 6.1 is available on both Debian version
use RPi own tool rpi-update
to install a fixed kernel version
thank you for your answer ,
for rpi-update : command not found
where to find file img dietpi with kernel 5.10 ?
we don’t have such an image
you need to install the tool GitHub - Hexxeh/rpi-update: An easier way to update the firmware of your Raspberry Pi
rpi-update , no good for ( error)
i try with img " 2023-02-21-raspios-bullseye-armhf-lite-firstboot"
and after dietpi-installer
this will update your kernel as well.
The way to go is using rpi-update
, which is quite simple to use.
