Creating a bug report/issue

I have searched the existing open and closed issues

    v9.8.0 and V9.9.0
  • Distro version | echo $G_DISTRO_NAME $G_RASPBIAN
    bookwork
  • Kernel version | uname --all
    Linux DietPi 6.6.54-current-meson64 #1 SMP PREEMPT Fri Oct 4 14:30:05 UTC 2024 aarch64 GNU/Linux
  • Architecture | dpkg --print-architecture
    arm64
  • SBC model | echo $G_HW_MODEL_NAME or (EG: RPi3)
    Odroid C4/HC4 (aarch64)
  • Power supply used | (EG: 5V 1A RAVpower)
    Original 12V 14W
  • SD card used | (EG: SanDisk ultra)
    SD card and emmc as well

Additional Information (if applicable)

  • Software title | (EG: Nextcloud)
    Chromium in kiosk mode
  • Was the software title installed freshly or updated/migrated?
    No
  • Can this issue be replicated on a fresh installation of DietPi?
    Yes

Steps to reproduce

  1. … Enable chromium in kiosk mode on autostart

Expected behaviour

  • No flickering…

Actual behaviour

  • See flickering HDMI (once a second)

Extra details

I have two HD monitors (one with touch and one without).
No issues on the monitor without touch but with the touch.
But: When I boot first with no touch monitor and than change the monitor during the session no glitches on HDMI also on the touch monitor. That let me think, that something is wrong with the timing or display settings.
Additional info: During the splash screen seems to be no HDMI flickering, as well. Flickering starts with chromium.
