Hello everyone, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
I recently installed LMS on a thin client along with Squeezelite.
The OS is DietPi, and I used the DietPi versions.
The output is routed to a USB DAC (Topping D10b) and, through its SPDIF output, to my own DAC.
The reason for this setup is that my DAC is built into my preamplifier (Lyngdorf DPA-1), which does not have a USB input.
I managed to get it working and can listen to all the audio files I’m interested in (FLAC, WAV, MP3, etc.), except for the DSD files.
Can you please advise me on the correct configuration?
Hello, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
- You need to install DSD plugin to the LMS server. Available at the plugins page.
- SPDIF does not support DSD, you will have to use Usb connection for DSD files.
Thank you for the reply!
I would like to clarify that the setup is:
PC connected with USB cable to DAC → DAC connected with SPDIF cable to my DAC/preamp.
The Topping D10b is acting as a USB Bridge due to the lack of a USB input on my DAC/preamp.
The DSD plugin is installed and it states, ‘This player supports native playback of DSD files. DSD-over-PCM should be configured on the player configuration interface.’
Let me know if you need anything else!
I finally managed to make it work!
For anyone interested, this forum post helped me!
