Uhh quite an old system. Support for Buster has been dropped beginning of this year already.
As you see, it’s not even the kernel version but as well Debian version that makes quite a difference on your two systems.

Yes. I am thinking to install old buster with same kernel. But not sure if will be able to install dietpi on top of it because ditepi uses latest branches only like dev, master etc.
As of DietPi v9, support for Buster has been discontinued. You can take a look at the 8 branch, but don’t expect any help in building such old, outdated and unsupported systems. From my point of view, running Debian Buster is a dead end. It would be much better to get a powered USB hub from Amazon etc and see if it works better. If it doesn’t work, you can send the hub back.
