External disk issues at random

RPie 5 with an external HD is giving me issues. Ext4 formatted. I had it plugged into a RPie4 until recently and it worked fine.

I mounted it and its detected and initially was working fine.

In drive manager I get:

[ INFO ] DietPi-Drive_Manager | Detecting drives, please wait…
df: /mnt/Pie: No such device

Sometimes at restart it fails to detect.

Is this related to low power or is it something else? It has no external powersupply but worked fine on an RPie4.

could be related to power, we always recommend to use external PSU on external drives.

FWIW I ended up resolving this issue. I was using an RPie4 power supply with an RPie5. Swapped it out for the correct one and the drive issues disappeared.
