Would it be possible if you could add the emby server part of the software we could install that would be great
Great request, Emby server looks interesting.
Will take a look at this for v118 https://github.com/Fourdee/DietPi/issues/310
While running the Emby server config pages for the 1st time, it asks for ffmpeg installation or use of the system installed version, but it doesn’t allow go to the next page later.
Is it a mandatory part of the installation that wasn’t catched for the dietpi installer somehow?
Thx, Wolf
Hi Wolf,
Thanks for letting us know.
Looks like a recent addition to the Emby installation wizard: https://github.com/Fourdee/DietPi/issues/436
Wolf,
Fixed for v124.https://github.com/Fourdee/DietPi/issues/436#issuecomment-234721246
You can :
- Install FFmpeg through dietpi-software > linux software > ffmpeg
Once completed, reboot, then connect to emby server through web interface. It shouldnt ask for ffmpeg.
It worked fine, thanks a lot for the workaround Dan. BTW, the ffmpeg installed doesn’t seem to be the latest 3.1 version that supports RasPi Openmax IL hardware assistance (flags at https://ubuntu-mate.community/t/hardware-h264-video-encoding-with-libav-openmax-il/4997/7).
Is there any way to update it in the dietpi distribution for next releeases?
Thx again, Wolf
