For easy accessing files from Windows system without FTP/Samba you can use WinSCP
For working you need to install openssh client
dietpi-software install 0
File protocol: SCP
Host name: IP address of Dietpi
Login: root
Password: your password to Dietpi

Many thanks for sharing. Jep the OpenSSH client adds the scp command required to access via SCP through Dropbear SSH server. When switching to OpenSSH server, it works OOTB, but it’s memory usage is ~3 times higher.
personally I have configured Notepad++ as editor on WinSCP. This way I can edit/manage all config/script files directly
