Required Information

  • DietPi version - 8.3.1
  • Distro version | bullseye
  • Kernel version | Linux DietPi 5.15.32-v8+ #1538 aarch64
  • SBC model | rPi4b
  • Power supply used | no idea - whatever came with it
  • SD card used | probably SanDisk

Additional Information (if applicable)

  • Software title | Jellyfin
  • Was the software title installed freshly or updated/migrated? FRESH
  • Can this issue be replicated on a fresh installation of DietPi? haven’t got that far yet

Steps to reproduce

  1. Install Jellyfin from Dietpi-software
  2. Check status, see failed error
  3. Check log - see references to not being able to use working directory /var/lib/jellyfin
  4. Manually create directory
  5. Restart jellyfin - status shows success

Expected behaviour

  • Install should create this directory

Please test it with latest DietPi:

dietpi-update

Indeed there was a fix necessary since recent Jellyfin sets the working directory in it’s systems unit.
