Steps to reproduce

  1. Hard to say. Just upgraded via the menue.

Expected behaviour

  • Normal DietPi-Welcome-Screen expected.

Actual behaviour

  • I upgraded the Raspi4B via the DietPi-menu to version Linux 6.12.25+rpt-rpi-v8 aarch64. Everything was flagged as okay. But when I reboot and login I only get the message:

Linux DietPi 6.12.25+rpt-rpi-v8 #1 SMP PREEMPT Debian 1:6.12.25-1+rpt1 (2025-04-30) aarch64

The programs included with the Debian GNU/Linux system are free software;
the exact distribution terms for each program are described in the
individual files in /usr/share/doc/*/copyright.

Debian GNU/Linux comes with ABSOLUTELY NO WARRANTY, to the extent
permitted by applicable law.

It takes about five minutes until I get a prompt.

Extra details

  • PiHole and the RPi-Monitor are working.

You mean you are missing the dietpi banner?

This can’t be correct. DietPi 6.0 is a version from 2018 and doesn’t fit to your kernel and Debian version.

You are right. It is version v9.12.1. PiHole ist Version 6.0.6

Meanwhile I re-flashed with the actual version and everything works fine.
