I try to install dietpi on sdcard with balena etcher or raspi-imager on windows but it crashes everytime !!!
help
I am running DietPi on an SD Card and I am sure a lot of others on the forum are too.
If SD cards are written to a lot they can become faulty over time. I had issues once were my Raspberry Pi would not boot and it turned out to be a faulty SD Card which was casuing data corruption.
The only other thing I can think of is are you sure that there are no issues with the SD Card Slot itself? Have you tried writting a copy of the standard Raspberry PI OS from the official site to the same card and does that boot?
Personally I use Rufus to burn images to my SD Cards but that really is just personal preference I doubt that Etcher or even Raspi-Imager is the cause here.
What exactly crashes? Balena? Or when you try to boot from SD?
it’s the windows ransomware protection that was crashing the writing on the disk. I don’t know why. I disabled the protection while writing and it works!
Thanks for your help
