something wrong with DNS resolution on your side. Somehow you are not able to resolve dns9.quad9.net

Can you heck following

getent hosts dns.google.com

Is there an output here? If not, can you share

cat /etc/resolv.conf

nameserver 192.168.1.106
nameserver 192.168.1.106

Somehow I solved it. For some reason I’ve changed the local IP of the device192.168.1.106 to 192.168.102 and it works, at least for now. Thanks for replying. Have a good one.

well the device had the same IP address as your DNS server, means it was pointing to itself. Usually this can’t work.

Or is IP address 192.168.1.106 used by another system within your network? Do you use a local DNS server like PiHole or AGH?

this device was the system that I run AGH but I formatted it, so I don’t have AGH rn. are there any way to change it?

You are using static IP or DHCP?

I am using DHCP

in this case, check in your DHCP server which setting you have done for DNS
