DietPi for Orange Pi Zero H2

Is there any recent version of DietPi available for the Orange Pi Zero H2 ?

Please let me know if you got any information.

We don’t offer images for OrangePi directly https://github.com/MichaIng/DietPi/issues/4309#issuecomment-834238817

However you could be using a Debian base image and try to install DietPi on top https://dietpi.com/docs/hardware/#make-your-own-distribution

So if I understand correctly I can install directly the image from Michalng and that is a DietPi (already slim version of Debian)

or

Install a Debian based distro and us the script to make a DietPi version out of it by slim it down in size.

Let me know if I’m gettings it wrong.

There shouldn’t be any image available for Orange Pi. Or where did you find one?

You could give it a try, no guarantee that it is working.

No you are right there is no DietPi images.

At the moment I can find two linux images:

  1. Armbian 22.02 Bullseye - Kernel 5.15.y → Debian
  2. Armbian 22.02 Jammy - Kernel 5.15.y → Ubuntu

basically you are down to 1 image as we support Debian only. At least if you like to try DietPi installation.
