Dietpi-Dashboard 5252 port

Hi, I recently installed the official Dietpi dashboard and I was greeted with a warning that says

"You are about to install a reworked beta version of the Dietpi-Dashboard which as not undergone much testing yet. Please assure to close it’s network ports (default: TCP 5252 and 5253) on your NAT/router or via firewall, to protect them from public access“

Please help me understand what do I need to do? The device (Dell Wyse 3040) is connected to the same network that is in use to monitor it. There is no requirement to access it from the internet. The only reason I installed the dashboard is because the device is installed at a location not easily physically accessible.

Normally, you don’t need to do anything. As a rule, access from the internet is not possible unless you actively open a port yourself. The warning applies to users who have allowed access to port TCP 5252 / 5253 in the past. As a precaution, they should remove this access.
