Dietpi backup not working

You get a blank page when executing dietpi-backup or when you start the actual backup?

You don’t see nothing like this:

As soon as I issue the command dietpi-backup it immediately goes to a blank screen and if left after a while many minutes the curser returns

other dietpi commands work as expected like dietpi-config

I just tried a backup again and now this one single time it has given a reason for not working which I will now check. It is not clear why I was just shown a blank screen and not what has been shown this last time of trying.
