DietPi and the mintCast

I mentioned to Leo Chavez who is part of the team who produce and present the mintCast about DietPi and you can hear him extolling its virtues in the latest episode:

Peter

Many thanks for mentioning to Leo and sharing with us. Very nice words of him indeed an a great feedback that our basic intention was so obvious by his experience and well understood:

  • Start with a most slim Debian/Raspbian.
  • Turn it into whatever you need quickly and without much knowledge.
  • And you still have a basic Debian/Raspbian (APT, systemd, …) under the hood that allows you to do any other stuff you want outside of DietPi programs as usual.

01:19:20 is where it starts, but the whole postcast is interesting.

Hi Peter,

Many thanks for the heads up. Great to hear Leo is enjoying DietPi and its features!

Also, the whole podcast rocks! Will be tuning in on a regular basis.

PS. Reason for missing RetroPie = Their installer (and DietPi scripts) are not 100% compatible with each other (at the moment). Regardless, users can manually install RetroPie, runs fine. Just try to ensure, where RetroPie and DietPi offer same configuration options (eg: WiFi), use DietPi where possible.
