Can't sign into Nextcloud for the first time

I tried all manner of restting my nextcloud password and my global password.

I did the occ cli command but that did not work.

Tried installing and uninstalling.

Can someone please help me get into my NextCloud?

On Dietpi the short command for nextcloud config is ncc, for Owncloud it’s occ, that’s why it didn’t work.

But despite that, did you use the right user admin?

Yes, I used admin.

I made a test installation on a RPI 3B+ with nginx as webserver and I can just login fine with the my software password.
I also used then ncc user:resetpassword admin to set a new password and this also worked.

  • Did you change you keyboard layout / language maybe, after the first installation, where you set your global software password?
  • What exact error message do you get?
  • Did you maybe had nextcloud installed before and it uses the password from the former installation?

Btw changing software password after the intallation of nextcloud will not change the nextcloud password, only the default password for future software installations.
And can you please fill out the troubleshoot template? This eliminates the need for many more questions from my side.
