Cannot mount USB HDD

Hi, I mount my externel USB HDD 3TB where I have dietpi_userdata as /mnt/Toshiba. I point to that drive in dietpi-drive_manager and everything looks OK. After reboot I see two the same drives sda and sdb but no data in folder /mnt/Toshiba where I mount it. I try to mount both in dietpi-drive-manager but it fails, give info that mount point already exist. Now I have folder /mnt/Toshiba but no data. I see drive in dietpi-drive manager but cannot mount it. I see it in /etc/fstab. What I can do to mount that drive?
dietpi-drive-manager stuck at:

root@DietPi:/# dietpi-drive_manager
[ INFO ] DietPi-Drive_Manager | Detecting drives, please wait...
[ INFO ] DietPi-Drive_Manager | - Detected mounted drive: /dev/mmcblk0p2 > /
[ INFO ] DietPi-Drive_Manager | - Detected mounted drive: /dev/mmcblk0p1 > /boot
[ INFO ] DietPi-Drive_Manager | - Detected unmounted drive: /dev/sda

usually drives are set to auto mount during first folder access. means, the HDD is not mounted during boot. It will be mounted as soon as someone is trying to access it.

When I go to dietpi_drive_manager I see my HDD as unmounted. When I try to mount it it has name /mnt/362a51c8-387b-4315-a814-8c3c2dd05f9 so I try to change to /mnt/Toshiba but it show info:

 [WARNING]: │
             │ │

             │ │
│ Do you wish to ignore this warning, and, mount the drive regardless?

So when I ignore that info is still unmounted. I don’t have any entry in /etc/fsab.

Edit. OK, somehow today I mount it. Maybe I have something with that HDD. Maybe this SATA>USB adapter is worst quality.
regards.

Hi, Joulinar after reboot and connect small 4GB USB my Toshiba 3TB drive umount. I reboot and now again I cannot mount it. Do You think it’s something with that HDD? Can You tell me how to put entry to my /etc/fstab because I see again that drive as 34356345-346343g563y45y… not as Toshiba. Do I need to change manually that to Toshiba and put /dev/sda?

Regards.

can you post following

cat /etc/fstab
lsblk -o name,fstype,label,size,ro,type,mountpoint,partuuid,uuid
mount

Hi, Joulinar I think I know what was my problem. I change USB - SATA adapter. When I change to old one now it work. HDD automount on boot and everything is OK I think. I have something like that before:

Now it’s OK.

Can You tell me also is it good option to mount second HDD 6TB to my Rpi4? I want to move some data from Toshiba drive to it.

Regards,
Przemko

regarding the sata adaptor. Maybe you can have a look to this https://dietpi.com/forum/t/default-boot-order/4698/5
Not sure if yours have similar chipset.

And yes, you can mount an additional HDD. just ensure to specify an own new mount point. Best to have bother powered by a dedicated power suppley

Thanks for Your time and help.
I try that one:

maybe power supply will be good to use in some other project
