Calibre on Bullseye

Hello,

Any way to install Calibre on Dietpi Bullseye please ?

Thanks

did you tried to install the available Debian package https://packages.debian.org/source/stable/calibre

Sorry for delay

Seem dead because of python3-pyqt5.qtwebengine

:frowning:

Looks like it depends on the SBC used. At least last comment was that it could be installed on RPi2 or newer from Debian repository

What does it take for a software package to make it into the supported software list in DietPi? Just curious.

Software request can be made here: https://github.com/MichaIng/DietPi/discussions/categories/software-request
I don’t know the exact process, but I guess when there are enough requests for some software, they will weigh up if it’s sensible and worth the working time to implement it.

Most important is to have someone who has time to implement stuff. We are always welcome to everyone who like to start with implementing thinks.

Totally get it. Thanks for the replies. Been thinking it would be nice to have a calibre server running on the DietPi machine (RPi 3 Model B (aarch64)), but it’s not clear to me whether Calibre is ready for Bullseye yet. Cheers!

Yeah I guess Docker would be the way to go for calibre server. Might be easier at this time.
