Bullseye kodi vfs.libarchive

Hi,

I can’t install kodi-vfs-libarchive, as it says package has unmet dependency:

root@DietPi:~# apt install kodi-vfs-libarchive
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree... Done

Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.
The following information may help to resolve the situation:

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
 kodi-vfs-libarchive : Depends: kodi-api-vfs (>= 3.0.0)
                       Depends: kodi-api-vfs (< 3.1.0)
E: Unable to correct problems, you have held broken packages.

kodi-api-vfs package is not available yet, correct? https://packages.debian.org/bullseye/kodi-vfs-libarchive
I mean I’m not doing anything wrong?

yes package kodi-api-vfs package is not available on global Debian repository. Looks like you would need to use a Kodi repository. I just found the following on a quick web search. https://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=365923

Maybe this helps.

I came across that page but it says Ubuntu ppa, I thought that could cause problems on debian? (I have limited knowlege on linux)

ah right. Did not noticed it. You could try to raise the question on xbmc Github on how to install on Debian due to missing kodi-api-vfs apt package.
