So. I have network appliance. Lanner FW7541C it has intel CPU, 4 gigs Ram and 6 network ports. It has serial console port for Vt100+. I have installed Dietpi on the SD and its working great on eth0 the other port are not enable What I would like to do is create a bridge to the other ports. The issue is the console does not work after boot up. I have to SSH to the box. If I make any changes I lock my self out trying to follow the online examples of a bridge. Is there anything I can read to point me to how t do this right. Either getting the console to work after bootup or setting up a bridge network
This thing has also one port for console?! At least the version without the C has.
If yes you can maybe connect through this to the device.

I have dietpi installed on it and it is working great. I am using only port 1 the other port are not active right now. I have docker install and that is work great as well. Just wanting to bridge the other 5 port to port 1. Since the console port is not showing any display I am scared to mess with the network port and lock my self out.

Try from Putty. not Hyperterminal.
Worst case you can take a backup, do the changes and if you are locked out you can either take out the hard drive, connect it on another pc and restore the changes, or boot from a live USB, mount the hard drive and revert the changes.
Thats a great Idea. Thanks
Actually I just ordered another 500mb ssd. I will mirror the internal 250 to it so I can keep that as a backup and do all this editing on the 500. Thanks for the idea!
