Bash temperatur vs dietpi dasboard temperatur

  • Distro version | bookworm
  • Kernel version | 6.1.0-99
  • Architecture | Debian 6.1.99-1 (2024-07-15) x86_64
  • SBC model | `Nativ PC → Futro S520 1GHz AMD
  • Power supply used | yes
  • SD card used | internal 8gb ssd nand solder

  • Software title | dashboard
  • fresh install no other software

Steps to reproduce

fresh install

Expected behaviour

both same temperature

Actual behaviour

dashboard show 54ºC/128ºF: Running warm, but safe
bash WARNING: 70 °C / 158 °F : Reducing the life of your device

Extra details

have multiple devices setup with dietpi before but not with this behavior , also cooler (hardware) has only 32°C (thermal infred gun) , new heating paste was put on

some more info , i have check other s520 box ( 3 systems) all are show correct temperatur ( around 35 till 38 °C all show scaable cpu speed ,

this box didnt change the cpu speed it was fix at 800MHZ , also i stress cpu and no upscaling to 1000MHZ ; after change in dietpi cconfig its switch to 1GHZ ,
cpu didnt get hotter than 68/69°C in bash in dashborad its go up to 50/51°C still 20°diffirenze

i didnt understand this diffirent behavior

Can you be more specific about what you mean by ‘bash temperature’?

the temperatur that are shown when you login in terminal as MOTD

@ravenclaw900 @MichaIng do you know how CPU temp is collected for the dashboard as well as our MOTD script? I guess both use different methods.
