Hey HiOpi, welcome to the forum!

First let’s check where this call is coming from. Login into your device and just execute the following

bash --login -x 2>&1 | grep -C 10 -i mpd

Hi Jappe,

know, it’s only cosmetics, but I want to know. :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:

bash --login -x 2>&1 | grep -C 10 -i mpd
++ [[ hxB == *i* ]]
++ return 0
+ unset i
+ '[' -n '5.2.37(1)-release' ']'
+ '[' -f /home/pi/.bashrc ']'
+ . /home/pi/.bashrc
++ case $- in
++ return
+ '[' -d /home/pi/bin ']'
+ '[' -d /home/pi/.local/bin ']'
+ '[' '!' -s /home/pi/.config/mpd/pid ']'
+ mpd
/home/pi/.profile: line 30: mpd: command not found

Hi Jappe,

it’s solved. Line 30 in .profile :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:

Greetings, HiOpi

Do you remember to have it added yourself to the profile?

Either manually added or activated manually by modifying the config, because our installation script deactivates the creating of the PID file

# - PID file is not required for systemd
G_EXEC sed --follow-symlinks -Ei 's/^[[:blank:]]*pid_file[[:blank:]]+/#pid_file /' /etc/mpd.conf

you are right @Jappe
The home directory is pointing to a user pi which did not exist on DietPi. I guess OP followed a guide from the web and added it manually in the past.

Hi,

not that I can remember …

Interesting. After installation of mpd this is all I have in .profile

# ~/.profile: executed by Bourne-compatible login shells.

if [ "$BASH" ]; then
  if [ -f ~/.bashrc ]; then
    . ~/.bashrc
