Thanks for sharing. This script seems to be adjusted to fully work with Python 3 and not depend on Raspbian (which probably makes it work on the ARMv7 and ARMv8 Debian based images): https://github.com/meuter/argon-one-case-ubuntu-20.04
Hello all,
i have bought a RaspBerry Pi4 and an ArgonOne V2 bu impossible to activate Fan with DietPi.
It work on other distribution like Retropie or Batocera.
I have tried all script here without success.
Is there a small tutorial work fine with step by step please ?
What are dependencies to install, maybe i must have another login ?
Thanks for your help!
did you install Python3 from dietpi-software catalogue?
can you share following as well
systemctl status argononed.service
Try run in this order
curl https://download.argon40.com/argonone-setup-osmc.sh | bash
curl https://download.argon40.com/argon1.sh | bash
Check this too
dietpi-config > 4 Advanced Options > i2c State > ON
reboot
This has to be one of the stranger installation guides I’ve seen in a while. But I’m not bashing it because it works.
The scripts in that order, i2c state was already on and the fan kicked on without a restart.
Many thanks for this supportive community and wonderful devs.

Googled this and worked flawlessly (apart from an error that I need to install python3-pip instead of python-pip). Thanks so much.
Did anyone get the remote working with Roon? I could make the argon config script install lirc etc, but then quickly gave up making it work in Roon, mostly since it’s just a nice to have for me.
Slightly off-topic, together with the Archer T2U Plus dongle, this is now my perfect WiFi Roon streamer. Super happy with it.
