What permissions or settings I need to change to allow FileBrowser to delete files?

Delete file of which user? Usually FileBrowser should be able to touch all files having r/w permission on files owned by dietpi user group.

you could have helped investigating the case by posting the error message or at least indicate what folder the issue was on.
