qBittorrent stops running

Post by DroidAttack1 »

Hi, I'm running the latest version of DietPi on my RaspberryPi 4 2GB. Once every few days, qBittorrent seems to stop running completely. The WebUI is not accessible, all the torrents stop seeding and when I run the top command I don't see qBittorrent anywhere. However, when I reboot my Pi it starts working again, only to stop again after a few days. All the other services I use such as Sonarr, Radarr, Jackett and Plex all work perfectly fine.
I don't think it's a memory issue. This is what I get when I run free -m

Code: Select all

total used free shared buff/cache available
Mem: 1630 394 246 30 989 1108
I only have around 3-4 torrents on it at a time, and not all of them are simultaneously seeding.
When qBittorrent is running, it uses around 400mb of memory.

Is there anything I can do to fix this?

I just restarted it a few minutes ago
I'll run the commands and post in this thread once it stops working again.

Thanks

you are running out of memory and the system is killing processes.

Code: Select all

[311112.684964] Out of memory: Killed process 7689 (qbittorrent-nox) total-vm:709456kB, anon-rss:506124kB, file-rss:0kB, shmem-rss:0kB, UID:998 pgtables:1308kB oom_score_adj:0

Are you using any SWAP? If not, you could try to add some.

No, I wasn't using swap. I've set up a swap of 2GB on my external HDD and I'll see how it goes. Thanks!

Check the usage time by time to see how it develops

Code: Select all

free -m
