Issues with external drives

Post by crik91 »

Hi, I have a Raspberry Pi 4 running DietPi v7.2.3 and I have an issue with my drives that seems not mounted in Drive Manager (and I cant mount it) but one of these is viewable from Samba( /mnt/DVR) .

As you can see here one drive is fully read/write accessible:

Code: Select all

root@DietPi:~# ls /mnt/DATI1TB
root@DietPi:~# ls /mnt/DVR
motioneye
root@DietPi:~#
And here I can't find any info about mountpoint:

Code: Select all

root@DietPi:~# mount

Hi,

I guess /mnt/DVR is located on your SD card and not on an external drive.

Can you check

Code: Select all

df -h /mnt/DVR
what is the error message using drive manager?
Pls let us know if a solution is working. This could help others if they hit by similar situation. Your DietPi Team

Code: Select all

root@DietPi:~# df -h /mnt/DVR
Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on
/dev/root 59G 5.2G 51G 10% /
Now I can mount external drives, /mnt/DVR was /dev/sdb1 and I don't what happened...

according your information /mnt/DVR is/was located on /dev/root. While /dev/root is located on your SD card.

But I understood you are able to mount your external disk again now, correct?
