Oh, how stupid of me. Using
chmod -R g+rwx test/ did indeed fix the issue and now it works as intended!

if you are coming from Windows, file system permissions doesn't seems logic. But if you get used to it, it's quite simple.
Pls let us know if a solution is working. This could help others if they hit by similar situation. Your DietPi Team
