Certbot on Wordpress Topic is solved
Certbot on Wordpress
I’ve used the dietpi-software script to install Wordpress which uses righttpd. However I can’t get Cerbot SSL working. Is it compatible with righttpd? I’m forwarding to port 443 https but the pages are corrupted and insecure - no padlock. I’ve tried to reinstall Certbot but now the certificate is invalid and there are no files/folders for Certbot under /etc. I guess I’ve broken it so need to start again. Any tips welcome.
Re: Certbot on Wordpress
Hi,
many thanks for your message. Lighttpd is perfectly fine for using HTTPS, Do you used dietpi-letsencrypt to create your certificate? I created following guide quite a while back. It was intended for Nextcloud but it should fit for WP as well.

Re: Certbot on Wordpress
This is another capture of my url with https crossed out. What does this mean and how to fix? Thanks.
Re: Certbot on Wordpress
try to clean browser cache and cookies. Afterwards try again. Usually you should be able to display the certificate inside the browser to see where the issue is

Re: Certbot on Wordpress
Hi - just reinstalled everything - in the browser the cert is valid but there's no padlock and there's not secure warning at left of address bar.
I'm using a static ip address: A Record @ ip and Cname www pointing from Namecheap - could there be an issue with this provider?
Any ideas?
Thanks

Re: Certbot on Wordpress
I've included screen captures to show what I can see inside the cert and as above in address bar
Re: Certbot on Wordpress
looks like your certificate was issued by R3?? If you use dietpi-letsencrypt it should be issued by Let's Encrypt.
Do you use exactly the same domain name as in your certificate? or do you use any subdomain?

Re: Certbot on Wordpress
I’m not sure why the cert is issued by R3 as I installed Cerbot as per instructions. I’m using the same domain as in the certificate.
