Installing Kodi and sending bug report, encountering issues

Post by michtuffnel »

I've recently reinstalled my RPI 4b+ with the most recent version of DietPi x64, and I am attempting to install Kodi via dietpi-software. At the following stage, this message appears:

Code: Select all

[ INFO ] DietPi-Software | APT install for: libcec4 libnfs12 kodi fbset, please wait...
E: Unable to correct problems, you have held broken packages.
[FAILED] DietPi-Software | APT install for: libcec4 libnfs12 kodi fbset
 - Command: apt-get -qq --allow-change-held-packages install libcec4 libnfs12 kodi fbset
followed by:

Code: Select all

│ - Command: apt-get -qq --allow-change-held-packages install libcec4

Even stranger, when I try and send a bug report, I get the following:

Code: Select all

Any help appreciated on this one!

Hi,

many thanks for your messgae. DietPi 64bit for RPi is still in BETA usage and not intend for production use. Reason is that the underlaying Raspberry OS 64bit image has still BETA status and under development by Raspberry Foundation. Means, not yet all functions are available or implemented by Raspberry Foundation. On of the know challenges is Kodi. We discovered it some time back, but notching we can do from DietPi side other than waiting on Raspberry Foundation.

Pls let us know if a solution is working. This could help others if they hit by similar situation. Your DietPi Team

Issue solved. It was the DDoS protection from our server which was falsely enabled. I'm also updating the bug report script now to not check HTTP/HTTPS but SFTP/SSH since the upload is done via SFTP protocol.
