Dietpi 6.32.2 - Sonarr version?

Post by finch_6 »

Hi all,

What version of Sonarr is on the latest Dietpi distro?

I manually upgraded to Sonarr V3 and now I can update my Dietpi software, I keep getting an error about filenames; I think it was because I had to change some repos 🤷🏼‍♂️

Thanks in advance all

Stay safe!!

Hi,

the application software version has no direct linkt to the version of DietPi. Atm DietPi is still pulling Sonarr v2 but I guess will be switched to v3 somewhere in near future. Anyway what is the error message you are facing?

Hi @Joulinar,

Thanks for the reply. I think I have posted about this before and you replied but I'm still stuck...

I get this every time I try install any diet software, update diet or try uninstall software:

Any help getting the latest diet version would be appreciate!

Hi,

this 3rd party repository is causing the issue.

Code: Select all

E: The repository 'https://mediaarea.net/repo/deb/raspbian -snapshots Release' does not have a Release file.
not sure what this software is, but it's easy to fix

Code: Select all

cd /tmp
rm /etc/apt/sources.list.d/mediaarea.list
wget https://mediaarea.net/repo/deb/repo-mediaarea_1.0-13_all.deb && dpkg -i repo-mediaarea_1.0-13_all.deb && apt-get update
https://mediaarea.net/en/Repos

This will update Mediaarea source list pointing to the official build. Currently you are using Snapshots and this seems to fail.

Hi @Joulinar,

Thanks for the reply.
This was the repo for the media info as far as I can remember for the upgrade to Sonarr V3 https://sonarr.tv/#downloads-v3-linux-debian
I may have used the Snapshots because Releases wasn't working - can't remember to be honest.

I followed your steps and I'm not too sure if you left a step out? What was the point of "cd /tmp"? Nothing was done in tmp after this command?

When I tried the second command I get this error:

Code: Select all

rm: cannot remove '/etc/apt/sources.list.d/mediaarea.list': No such file or directory
I haven't run the third line as I'm sure the first two need to run first?

And to reply to this:
the application software version has no direct linkt to the version of DietPi
I made a back up of my Sonarr and it's V3, so if I do a fresh install of Dietpi I have to upgrade to V3 again to run my backup. But thats a ballache as I'm going to have the same issue when I try upgrade Dietpi again. So thats why I was asking :)

Thanks again for walking me through this 👍🏼

ok cd /tmp was just a change directory into /tmp folder as we need to download a file later on. And it's good to have it placed on a temporary location ;)

the rm command should have removed the Mediaarea source list. But it's not stored on default location. Do you know where you copied it in? If not you would need to check all files in /etc/apt/sources.list.d/ if there are entries for something pointing to Mediaarea. Btw this has nothing to do with Sonarr. Because Sonarr source list is following, as stated on Sonarr guide for updating to V3

Code: Select all

deb https://apt.sonarr.tv/debian buster main
And there are more issues on your source list. As far as I can see, you have some Debian Strech repositories, while you are on Debian Buster. Next to the Mediaarea issue, this would need to be fixed as well. ;)

Code: Select all

Hit:1 https://download.mono-project.com/repo/debian stable-stretch InRelease
Hit:3 https://apt.sonarr.tv/debian stretch InRelease

Hi @Joulinar,

Ok, so I looked in /etc/apt/sources.list.d/ and found this...

Code: Select all

root@DietPi:~# cd /etc/apt/sources.list.d/
root@DietPi:/etc/apt/sources.list.d# ls
mediaarea.list.bak mono-official-stable.list raspi.list
mediaarea-snapshots.list mono-xamarin.list sonarr.list
I removed mediaarea.list.bak & mediaarea-snapshots.list. Tried to run the third wget command, but get this...

Code: Select all

root@DietPi:/tmp# wget https://mediaarea.net/repo/deb/repo-mediaarea_1.0-13_all.deb && dpkg -i repo-mediaarea_1.0-13_all.deb && apt-get update

Think I'm just going to do a fresh install and either upgrade to Sonarr V3 and not do the mediaarea portion of the install or stay on V2 until Dietpi releases V3 with it's upgrade.

Thanks very much for all your help :D

To make it easy, just remove mediaarea list completely. At least you will not hit by further issues out of this source list. Atm you are missing the signature for mediaarea. Usually it should have been installed with the debian package strange. Probably because you hat the snapshot activated. Something that could be fixed as well. But short version would be removing mediaarea for the time being. ;)
