Raspberry pi 2b, diet pi, nextcloud too many reconnect error

I have a raspberry pi2b, running diet pi, trying to use nextcloud. My network provider is blocking port 80, so i can not get certbot to work for https (keep getting error 1). i am using no-ip to direct to port 8080 and using my router to forward to port 80 on the pi. when i use my external ip and port 8080 i can log in to nextcloud from the cloud, but when i try my ddns from no-ip i am getting a blank page with a little broken letter saying too many redirects. any one have an idea as to what my problem is?

Hi,

are you sure you use no-ip to re-direct to port 8080?? No-ip is just a DDNS provider and should not do any port forwarding. Port forwarding should and needs to be done on your router. Means, your Nextcloud should be reachable like this http://yourname.ddns.net:8080

Pls let us know if a solution is working. This could help others if they hit by similar situation. Your DietPi Team
