Dietpi version and torrents

Post by marik »

Hi

So i installed dietpi on my rpi 3 b
But it shows on startup screen i have rpi 2
Is this needs to concern me?

How do i update the system and all the apps?

Also, downloaded torrents with qbittorrent but they dont upload regularly. 1 of them is on ratio 2 some others a bit uploaded, but its not normal.
The tracker shown as not working.
The ports are ok when checking with online tools and no vpn.

Any suggestions?

I have a 3B too. Where do you see that it is 2?
My login banner for example has this:

Code: Select all

 - Device model : RPi 3 Model B (armv7l)

DietPi scripts can be updated with

Code: Select all

sudo dietpi-update
when there is some update available you'll see it in the banner.
Otherwise the usual

Code: Select all

sudo apt update; sudo apt dist-upgrade
works.

This can be a very particular and individual problem. Try with other more demanded torrents before reaching the conclusion that you have problem with the qbittorent.

@marik
displaying RPi2 instead of RPi3 isn't a big thing. The HW model is used for specific thinks like overclocking or some software installations. But should not impact standard operation. Could you pls provide a screen print of your incorrect banner entry. As well can you paste the following: cat /proc/cpuinfo
Pls let us know if a solution is working. This could help others if they hit by similar situation. Your DietPi Team

are you sure you have a RPi3??? Becasue CPU info and Revision Code is telling something else

Revision : a01041

As you can see on the link below, this is a Raspberry Pi 2B Rev 1.1

well /proc/cpuinfo is not something DietPi specific. It's available on every linux machine and it contains information about the used CPU model. In your case, it's displaying a RPi2 CPU as you can see on the Revision Code.
