problem with odroidXu4

Post by odripi »

Hello

First of all, excuse my English is not so good.

I have a problem with installing on OdroidXU4 with dietpi image

I install normally on an SD card, the system also boots.
I do the configuration root paswort etc, the system boots again at some point.

After the new booting, however, everything starts all over again.
I have to re-enter the password and reinstall everything.

I have to say I had cloudshell2 running with the XU4 before if that has anything to do with it?

Failed-software is also available in the terminal.

Thank you for your help

Hello,

Unfortunately, the problem still exists.
I flash Dietpi on a 32 gb micro sd. But the setup keeps starting over.

I don't live this, with another image eg Armbian it all works out without any problems.

I had the same issue, but as of today the new install image seems to have fixed the install issue. You might try downloading and flashing the latest image.

Jep the issue should be fixed with v6.21. If you are still stuck in the loop, please cancel any dietpi-software prompt and do the following:

Code: Select all

> /DietPi/dietpi/.update_stage
echo 1 > /DietPi/dietpi/.install_stage
dietpi-update 1

Thank you, the problem has been solved.

However, I still have a problem with Deluge.

I connected a USB HDD, formatted it into Ext4 and integrated it.

If I change the directory in Deluge I can't download.

The standard directory/mnt/dietpi_userdata/downloads is normal.
As soon as I put back the directory of the HDD, it doesn't work.

Note the the deluge run user (or dietpi group) requires R/W permissions on the download directory.
Deluge runs as user deluge and group dietpi, to allow other e.g. media software to access those files as well, do:

Code: Select all

chown -R dietpi:dietpi /mnt/usb_drive
chmod -R 775 /mnt/usb_drive
- Replace usb_drive by your actual mount point.

Thank you, I did.

However, the problem still exists.

The download starts briefly, and then nothing happens anymore.

Port is released, and the status of the tracker is ok, too.

I tried it with rtorrent, everything runs normally on the HDD directory. Unfortunately, I can't specify a Socks5 with auth proxy at rtorrent

Okay no permissions issue if the download starts. Please check dmesg for any I/O or voltage errors.

I can exclude voltage errors.

With rtorrent, it runs smoothly on the external HDD.
I only have this bug at Deluge.

This does not necessarily exclude voltage errors, since rtorrent and deluge might access the drive in a different intense way.
Just to be sure: The USB HDD has it's own power supply?

I will try to replicate when I can, currently busy with other stuff as well ;).
