Login loop after update to v6.20.6 - Odroid XU4

Post by rncwnd »

After upgrading to v6.20.6 I first got the problem with the unsupported terminal which I solved with this solution p16384

But after reboot and login via SSH (headless server) I run into this loop:

Code: Select all

Solved for now. Maybe this did it:

Code: Select all

echo 2 > /DietPi/dietpi/.install_state
systemctl restart dietpi-ramdisk
shutdown -h now
However I still wonder what caused:

Code: Select all

Location: http://cdn-fastly.deb.debian.org/debian [following]
Spider mode enabled. Check if remote file exists.

Not sure about the APT issue, this should not be related and may be simply a temporary repository issue.

The other issue was due to a v6.20 update issue and yeah your steps should have solved it. However if you want to assure really full new code is in place, you could update to v6.21 now (which fixes the nasty v6.20 update issues). If you face any error, this most likely indicates that v6.20 code is not fully in place. You can fix that by:

Code: Select all

> /DietPi/dietpi/.update_stage
> /etc/profile.d/dietpi-unsupported_terminal.sh
dietpi-update 1
