Hi perlian,

if I understand aright, what you searching is in "/boot/dietpie/dietpi/... " (on FAT partition (/boot) on sd-card (mmcblk0p1))
and will be load after boot up into ram-disc " /DietPi/dietpi/... " ( tempfs )

please have a look here: https://github.com/Fourdee/DietPi/tree/master/dietpi

application install scripts on the system: https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Fourd ... i-software

If you want to something special, better ask coder/programmer here: https://github.com/Fourdee/DietPi/issues

Prosody and ejabberd are both in the repos and *should* just work out of the box.

Way I view DietPi is simplifying complicated / often botched installs where packages aren't in the OS repos. That said, might not be bad idea to have some self hosted communication tools like these in DietPi as install time options.

ejabberd at current bombs on apt-get install.

prosody installs just fine. Time to test it.
