Starting Testing

Hardware Setup:
- Odroid HC-2 including cover
- CR2032 Backup Battery
- WD RED 6TB (WD6002FFWX) HDD

Software Setup:
- Official Dietpi Image Odroid XU3/XU4/HC1 (DietPi_OdroidXU4-ARMv7-Jessie.7z)

What throughput numbers do you get when moving large files between Windows and HC2 with Samba? Can you provide Windows Explorer screenshots for uploading and downloading? Interested especially in a performance drop after some few hundred MB have been written or read since I've seen this on few other boards already.

Jep, XU3/XU4/HC1 image works well, as HC2 is based on XU4 device as well. We already updated the download page to reflect this: http://dietpi.com/#download

First Test:
Actually Setup
Actually Setup
Result W7 -> Samba -> HC2:
Write to HC2 over Samba
Write to HC2 over Samba
Result HC2 -> Samba -> W7:
Read from HC2 over Samba
Read from HC2 over Samba
Iperf3 Tests:
Read: 880 Mbit / sec
Write: 660 Mbit / sec

Note:
Temperature about 53-67 °C as cpu mentioned it.
Here i wil build first up a better case including fans, as the WD RED 6TB brings too much heat to the standard case.

Cooling Issue - Tests:

1x 40mm Fan on Headspreader = 53-57 °C (idle/30%load)
1x 92mm Fan on Headspreader = 42-47 °C (Idle/30% load)

Next Step: New Case, with 2x92mm Fan or 100mm perhaps

Is your hardware defective? Just asking since with OMV the numbers are above 100 MB/s

See 'NETWORK STORAGE PERFORMANCE' here http://www.hardkernel.com/main/products ... 1505170472 or https://forum.openmediavault.org/index. ... 1-HC2-MC1/

Can you give it a quick check with OMV? First steps are outlined by Hardkernel here: https://wiki.odroid.com/odroid-xu4/soft ... _beginning
