Can't see Emby USB drive from Mint Xfce

Post by chris_debian »

Hi, all.

I've got a USB drive attached to a Pi, and am running Emby, and loving it. If added all my media and things are good.

The problem I have is that I can't copy files from my main PC, running Mint, to the Pi, because I can't figure out how to 'see' the drive. I saw an option to set up Samba, and thought that would do it. No such luck.

I've asked on the Emby forum, with little success [0], so wondered about approaching this from a DietPi perspective.

Can anyone help?

Thanks,

Chris.

Can you add the Pi's USB drive to the /etc/fstab file in the Mint desktop?

In your case:

192.168.1.?/mnt/127AC1F27AC1D2A1 /mnt/media nfs rsize=8192,wsize=8192,timeo=14,intr 0 0

This is using nfs - which you'd have to set up - you can do the same with Samba but I don't have an example to hand - look here.

Hi, John.

That sounds like a sensible way forward. I'll give it a go, and report back.

Cheers,

Chris.
