Sound USB Stick / Alsa...

Post by keos »

Hi all,

I own a RPi B+, I wanted to attach use the usb sound card as default but I didn't manage at all. I googled for about 2 days... but no help.
The max I could made is to use aplay or speaker-test using -c 2 with D hw1 (or plughw1). But no more :(.

Please help!

I attached all my outputs from the commands I made till now:
modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf" is :

Code: Select all

options snd_bcm2835 index=0
options snd_usb_audio index=1
options snd=snd_usb_audio,snd_bcm2835
If I put 0 to usb the usb don't appear at all.

aplay -l:

Code: Select all

**** List of PLAYBACK Hardware Devices ****
card 0: ALSA [bcm2835 ALSA], device 0: bcm2835 ALSA [bcm2835 ALSA]

I ran the script from alsa-project.org, the link is: http://www.alsa-project.org/db/?f=c58b2 ... 7f4ed43fb3

And to be true after hundreds of changes, the system is not working at all right now :)

Help :).

On a fresh DietPi install without manual changes. You can setup a USB DAC by simply:
dietpi-config > Audio Options > Sound Card > USB DAC

DietPi will then setup /etc/asound.conf as needed, default card on system.
If you find our project or support useful, then we’d really appreciate it if you’d consider contributing to the project however you can.
Donating is the easiest – you can use PayPal or become a DietPi patron.

Thanks, but the problem is that it disable the bcm8035 from the board. I wanted both of them.

I turn all this system upside down, and unfortunately the problem was the typo in alsa-base.conf. And I lost 2 days :(.

You can close this topic.

Thank you,
