FTP and Samba Server?

Post by dcaccount »

Hello,
I have just started configuring DietPi on my Rpi3 and I have a question.

I need to configure the system as FTP and SMB server at the same time but (and maybe I am wrong being new to this system) it seems to me that the wizard allows to configure it either as FTP or as SBM Server but not as both at the same time.

I had to uninstall SMB software to install FTP, but I think I did something wrong and this the reason why I am asking for your help.

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks for helping, daniele

Hi,

In DietPi-Software, you can select File server choice "None/Manual" from the menu, then select Go >> Start install

After, reload DietPi-Software and install both SMB and FTP servers via "Software Optimized" option.

If you find our project or support useful, then we’d really appreciate it if you’d consider contributing to the project however you can.
Donating is the easiest – you can use PayPal or become a DietPi patron.
