Well this is not really related to DietPi and it's version. It seems more your SD card has some issue as you loose SSH connectivity again as well right? Does a couple of reboot fix it again?

this has nothing to do with the size I would say. Probably your SD card is dying slowly.

Pls can you activate full log mode in dietpi-software. Maybe we will be able to see something next time once you need to reboot.
As well I would recommend to perform a backup. Best would be to use a USB stick as backup location.

pls can you share as well your file systems utilization

Code: Select all

df -h

Full log mode has bin activated.

My file system utilisation:

Code: Select all

root@DietPi:~# df -h
Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on
/dev/root 15G 1.6G 13G 12% /
devtmpfs 455M 0 455M 0% /dev
tmpfs 487M 1.1M 486M 1% /dev/shm
tmpfs 487M 8.7M 479M 2% /run
tmpfs 5.0M 4.0K 5.0M 1% /run/lock
tmpfs 487M 0 487M 0% /sys/fs/cgroup
tmpfs 50M 324K 50M 1% /var/log
tmpfs 486M 0 486M 0% /tmp
/dev/mmcblk0p1 253M 50M 203M 20% /boot
tmpfs 98M 0 98M 0% /run/user/993
tmpfs 98M 0 98M 0% /run/user/0
DietPi has a few backups software. Is there any they can make a full system backup automatically (for example one time on a week) and store on USB stick?

you could use dietpi-backup. But there is no automation feature. You could create a simple script to have it executed once a week.
