DietPi

Hi all,

DietPi looks like a neat distro that I am looking forward to trying out. I want to build a small NAS server using a Banana Pi M1 directly connected to my router via Ethernet. Banana Pi M1 has same specs as Pro minus WiFi chip.

1. Would DietPi still work on M1 model?

2. Two options are available for making a BPi NAS: install OpenMediaVault (OMV) on top of Armbian or use image with OMV already pre-installed.
Any possibility of having OMV on the DietPi-Software in the future?

Hi,

In theory, both use the A20 ARM and it should work, but, you'd have to try it (I don't own a BPi M1 to test).

DietPi-Software comes with a fileserver choice system. You can setup a single Samba NAS share with ease: http://dietpi.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=15

Any possibility of having OMV on the DietPi-Software in the future?
