Rpi 2b with dietpi freezes my router

So I have rpi 2b with latest version of dietpi installed,
And every few weeks its somehow causes my router to stop working.
If I unplug the rpi and plug it back on, the router is back working again even without a restart.

Its enough I will unplug the network cable of the rpi from the router and its back working.

What can cause this, what should I check and how to fix it?

I would start by changing the cable. Also try to connect the RPi to a different port on the router.

I'm wondering how it should be possible for a SBC to get a router stuck? I just can imagine some kind of overflow like a DDoS. Can you login to your SBC one your router stuck to verify what is running?
