Hi,
I'm trying out the dietpi image, including some of the extra tools for systems monitoring:
linuxdash = working
phpsysinfo = working
rpi-monitor = working after a few restarts of the Pi itself
netdata = not working (404 page not found on http://127.0.0.1:19999)
--> is there anything which has to be done after installing it using the dietpi installer in order to make this work?
thanks

Re: Netdata on clean standard install not working
Litebit,
Need some extra info, can you reply with the following please:
- Hardware device (EG: RPi 3)
- Distro (eg: Jessie). You can run: cat /etc/*release to find out.

Re: Netdata on clean standard install not working
ok, this is strange
I just rebooted my RPi again, now the netdata gui seems to come up, although slow, but is has data in it
the only thing I changed between my original post and the reboot was the manual installation of logrotate
the errorlog is still filled with hundreds or thousands of errors though, like these :

Re: Netdata on clean standard install not working
Very bizzare. I just did another clean netdata installation, running fine and without logrotate.litebit wrote:ok, this is strange

I'am also unable to replicate the errors you are receiving.
Can you try the following to clear the cache and see if the errors still occur:
Code: Select all
dietpi-services stop
rm -R /var/cache/netdata/*
dietpi-services start
- SDcard make/model (eg: sandisk ultra)?
- PSU make/model/amp (eg: Samsung 5v/2a phone charger)?

Re: Netdata on clean standard install not working
Hi,
the PSU is a no name brand, it should be a 5V/2A output
the SDcard is a Transcend Class 10 16GB
after executing the commands, when starting the services again, I see 1 error in the output

If you havn't done already, please can you try a reinstall of netdata and see if problems persist.
Kill netdata process:
Code: Select all
killall -w netdata
Code: Select all
dietpi-uninstall
Code: Select all
rm -R /var/cache/netdata
Code: Select all
dietpi-software
