The ALSA loopback device (snd-aloop) has been inadvertently omitted from the Tinkerboard release (and possibly others). This is an essential component of ALSA, and is used for interprocess audio routing.
I know it should be there, because it is mentioned for example in the BruteFIR software details on this page:
Without the ALSA loopback BruteFIR will lose the Digital Room Correction functionality.
Please include the ALSA loopback device on the next build/release! This is essential for audio work that I, and others, do with these boards.
