this was right after flashing the v145, it upgraded to 158, then i selected things to install, presssed ok and that came up, so, should i ,or should i not, worry ?

DietPi boot partition is FAT32 for most images. FAT32 does not support symlinks.
You can safely ignore the warning. System will still run fine, as this is simply trying to generate a backup, before updating initrd.
