Re: Cloudshell XU4 SSD and trim

Here's the fstab files. Not much in the Bpi one. It boots from the SD and the files system is on an SSD and neither appear in the fstab but I don't claim to fully understand this. BPi fstab # UNCONFIGURED FSTAB FOR BASE SYSTEM # 512 MB swapfile /swapfile1 swap swap defaults 0 0 192.168.1.4:/pi /mnt/...

Re: Cloudshell on Odroid XU4 feature request

The NFS shares are for example in /mnt/Multimedia and several similar ones.

Just gone 8 am and the screen didn't go off - I have to go to work, I'll test it later today.

Cloudshell XU4 SSD and trim

I have a Cloudshell with 240 GB Crucial BX200 SSD - do I need to worry about trim? On an SSD equipped BananaPi (OS is most recent Bananian 16.04 r01) I run this script in cron.daily: #!/bin/sh LOG=/var/log/trim.log echo "*** $(date -R) ***" >> $LOG fstrim -v / >> $LOG When I use this on the XU4 I ge...

Re: Cloudshell on Odroid XU4 feature request

Hi Fourdee, I've installed that script, set Cloudshell to autoboot (was before anyhow) and switch off in an hour (just missed 7 am) and I'll post here what the result is. In the meantime I have found another possible bug - I have a few NFS shares on a QNAP that are mounted on the XU4. The QNAP power...

Re: Cloudshell on Odroid XU4 feature request

Just tried this out buy using this link I found in the Github thread - I'm still on v119. wget https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Fourdee/DietPi/testing/dietpi/dietpi-cloudshell -O /DietPi/dietpi/dietpi-cloudshell This gives dietpi-cloudshell v6. It gives a message: Screen will be powered down in und...

Re: Question about backup and restore on XU4 Cloudshell

Followed the above thread and the file system is now running from the SSD after booting from SD and I have a spare eMMC for a C2 that I have just ordered :) One question re Cloudshell- it now displays that USB storage is not installed. I have edited the line in dietpi-cloudshell as follows: STORAGE_...

Question about backup and restore on XU4 Cloudshell

I have Dietpi running from a 32 GB eMMC. I have just fitted the Cloudshell with a 250 GB SSD. I'd like to backup, do a fresh install to SD card and put Dietpi on the SSD. I'd then like to restore and be back where I was - the idea being to free up the eMMC for other uses. Is this likely to work?
