I finally found an answer. The error message doesn't seem to be critical, rather only informative.

Here is a part of my journalctl after reboot. Are the white-highlighted lines just an unimportant info message or something that should be taken care of? failed to open VCHI service
Hi! When I check journalctl I stumble upon the following error message (in red colour) that I can't explain: Feb 14 11:11:59 DietPi kernel: IR XMP protocol handler initialized Feb 14 11:11:59 DietPi kernel: sdhci: Secure Digital Host Controller Interface driver Feb 14 11:11:59 DietPi kernel: sdhci: ...

Re: Wrong time after power off
Thank you. I didn't know this command. I tried but unfortunately it doesn't work either. It says right after reboot (and system time is wrong): root@DietPi:~# /DietPi/dietpi/func/run_ntpd 1 [ OK ] DietPi-Run_NTPD | Root access verified. [ INFO ] DietPi-Run_NTPD | Concurrent execution of DietPi-Run_N...

Re: Wrong time after power off
Yes, there is.
Try "ntpd -q -g [time server]", e.g. as a cronjob at reboot. But this needs ntp to be installed.
I am wondering though if there is a way to update the system time without having to install ntp.

Wrong time after power off
Hi! After powering off my rPi for a few hours (e.g. night), DietPi doesn't get the new time when powered on again. Rebooting DietPi doesn't help. Wrong system time makes my DietPi behave as if there was no online connection (b/c unbound's DNS resolution fails). My work around: I stop fake-hwclock.se...

Re: In-place OS upgrade with dietpi platform?
Thank you for your effort. I've upgraded to Buster in the meanwhile. To do so I installed DietPi Strech first and then changed the sources.list to reflect the new Buster repository. I then did an apt-get update|upgrade|dist-upgrade and as far as I can tell things seem to have worked smoothly. Downlo...

Re: In-place OS upgrade with dietpi platform?
Alright. Mmh, but I can't see a Buster testing image there for rPi, only for VirtualBox? :?:
